overand.dissociative.net - pretty screwed up

For more info, snag me at overand(at)gmail(dot)com with some meaningful, noticable subject to your email.

This was the temporary site while I designed the new one. It still has some content not available on the main site. Go crazy.

I strongly suggest doing the 'right-click to save' thing with these songs, as Apple Quicktime has taken over the MP3-browser-default-action of many user's browsers like a virus

News
Dec 26, 2009:
Overand is alive again - with the proper site at www.overand.com up and running. A bit of music here and there, though it's been a slow 18 months. With luck, some new Harry Xenu is on the horizon as well. Update your bookmarks, and brace your eardrums.

Sep 30, 2006:
I've moved. Harry Xenu has slowed down as a result, but there'll be some of that in the very near future. I've also set up some of my equipment at my 'new' studio, and recorded a bit of improv stuff. Check it out.

Feb 25, 2006:
I just uploaded a second excerpt from Monster Jam 2. Different feel than the first, and still easier to handle than the full 60 minute piece.

Feb 15, 2006:
I've replaced the full-length version of "Monster Jam 2" with a version I just remastered. So, it's a little nicer on the speakers, and the volume is a bit more consistent. It's probably worth a download. Mainly, it's just LOUDER. No changes to the content, no clicks removed.

This is a live recording of another session at my analog modular synth. It's somewhat more drone-oriented than the first recording. I will add more details about it later, but it's pretty long, and less cohesive as a piece than the first one. Also, you want to look at the other file's warnings, as they apply here, and are still not a joke, though this is more likely to blow a woofer due to the bass than to pop tweeters or make animals freak out.

Overand - Trippiest Modular Experiment 1
28 megs 22:17 [Full Version]
Recorded Oct 11, 2004 @ 9 PM
Uploaded Monday, Oct 18 2004
This is a live recording of a session at my analog modular synth. It's just me, and most of the sound is just from the modular. There's a little bit of rebirth tied in at some points, and one of the clocks is driven from my TR-707 (explaining the sync).
WARNING: this file has some hard clipping in it, and it covers a pretty wide frequency range. It might pop a tweeter or blow a woofer if you blast it, but probably not. No 'mastering' has been done on it to make it friendly. Also, it *has* been known to make dogs (and other animals) freak out, no joke.

Also, set your volume low, as 29 seconds in, the volume suddenly increases substantially.
